why

Education and culture are the foundation of human development, both at individual and community levels.

Yet, there are still too many people around the world who have little or no access to quality education and the tools they need to thrive.

Education and culture mean promoting social inclusion, encouraging peaceful coexistence between peoples, improving living conditions and expectations for the future for all people.

AGENDA 2030

Hundreds of millions of people are not able to read and write or are forced to leave school just after primary education. It is estimated that more than 200 million boys and girls will still not be attending school in 2030.

Of these, the majority are girls and young women, who are therefore denied the opportunity of employment or an independent and dignified life.

This inequality contributes to the gender pay gap, to the control of women through early marriage, and to social and cultural divisions between countries.

The 2030 Agenda addresses these issues through Goals 4, 5 and 10.

WHAT WE DO

We build classrooms, libraries, and services, we train teachers, fight the stigma of disabilities and prejudices about girls' education.
We bring the 2030 Agenda and global citizenship education into learning environments to foster knowledge, behaviours and values that promote a sense of belonging to a wider community, to a shared planet and an interdependent humanity.

We offer specialisation and higher education courses in human development and cooperation: bachelor, master, and university international PhDs.

We enhance cultural heritage by transforming it into a tool for socio-economic development that offers new opportunities for income and inclusion.

OUR APPROACH

Collaboration between institutions and civil society lies at the heart of our approach.
Only through exchange, dialogue, mutual understanding and collective participation is it possible to tackle educational poverty and ensure the inclusion of marginalised, vulnerable communities to lay the foundations for a more cohesive and egalitarian society.

Students leave the classroom. It is time for global education, it is time for citizenship initiatives that speak to the community and to administrators. Today's young people are aware of the power of their voice and are making themselves heard.

The strength of an individual and his or her ability to deal with the present also depends on knowing one's own history, traditions and values. Celebrating in order to narrate, to understand and to prepare for the future.

In the classroom, the debate becomes lively and all the students actively participate in today's task: to write a manifesto on their rights as children, as future women, as protagonists of their individual and community lives.
